Dave
Meserve
Dave Meserve is the guide for Urban Skye. He has been involved
in the care of people’s souls for over two decades and has served
as a pastor for fourteen of those years. His spiritual passions are being
rekindled by the writings and practices of Celtic spirituality.
Shari
Meserve
Shari hails from the wilds of Independence, Kansas. She
harbors a life-long passion for organizing clutter and creating beauty
in impossible places. In the midst of her many other community leadership
roles, Shari still finds time to nourish us with her amazing culinary
skills. She is the proud and happy mother of three children, CeCe, Caroline
and Charlie.
Millie
Cline
Millie guides our service projects and the Worldviews Film Forum
team. Living and working in the inner-city for over 20 years has fueled
her passion for social justice issues both in Denver and around the world.
She loves the idea of using art and film to stimulate dialogue about issues
and inspire people to get involved both locally and globally.
When not partaking in the beauty that surrounds us lucky Denverites you
will find Millie traveling anywhere and everywhere. Her favorite saying,
"Have passport, will travel."
Roxann
Lloyd
A graduate of Kansas State University with a Bachelors degree
in interior design, Roxann spent the first 4 years of her career working
as a commercial interior designer including some time working in Moscow,
Russia. She has since changed her focus to residential design. Roxann
enjoys working with people in transforming their spaces into something
that reflects who they are and how they live and work.
Bobbie
Jo Morrell
Mountain woman, poet, writer, leathercrafter, rustic furniture
builder, cat owner, technical writer, website designer. She facilitates
the Soul Leaders Team and leads Lectio Divina, as well as keeping the
website up to date as much as possible.
Joy
Sawyer
Joy is a founding member of Urban Skye, and long-time facilitator
for the Urban Skyewriters group. A lifelong poet, Joy is the author of
two books: Dancing to the
Heartbeat of Redemption and The Art of the Soul. She has been a student
in the “Shari Meserve School of Hospitality” since 1995, and
Shari notes that her pupil is quietly progressing – although still
not entirely adept at the bouillabaisse.
Scott
Sawyer
He’s the author of Earthly Fathers: A Memoir, and the
former editor of the Mars Hill Review, a journal of arts and culture.
Among his other interests are music and film – not to mention film
music – and one of his grandest achievements is having taught the
Meserve girls the history of rock-and-roll. A founding member of Urban
Skye, he is facilitator emeritus of the Book Salon.
Tracey
Shlafer
Tracey facilitates the Urban Skye Book Salons.
Amy Clifford
An insurance professional by day, she is energized by all things creative.
Her true passions lie in reading, writing, photography, and knitting.
A member of the Denver Photo Martini Club, her photography has previously
been exhibited at Barnes & Noble as well as group shows in Birmingham,
AL and in the Denver area.
